About Future Dreams
Since 2017, The Estée Lauder Companies has supported Future Dreams, including providing vital funding for 'Future Dreams House', which recently opened in Kings Cross. The centre hopes to be a haven for thousands of people affected by breast cancer providing a warm and friendly space that offers a relaxed, comfortable and non-clinical place to form friendships and find support from the breast cancer community. Future Dreams was set up in 2008 when mother and grandmother, Sylvie Henry and her daughter Danielle Leslie, were both diagnosed with breast cancer. Sylvie and Danielle were concerned for the future of Danielle’s three-year-old daughter Amy, scared that she would suffer the same illness. Aware of the incredible support they received from friends and family they were also determined to stop anyone feeling like they were going through the illness on their own. Sat around a kitchen table they formed the charity with just £100 to its name. Since then, it has raised over £6.5 million for research, support and awareness.
Future Dreams House is located at 61 Birkenhead Street, London WC1H 8BB. For more information on Future Dreams visit: www.futuredreams.org.uk
