Elizabeth Hurley, Global Ambassador, The Estée Lauder Companies’ (ELC) Breast Cancer Campaign and Sue Fox, President, ELC UK & Ireland, officially open Future Dreams House; a beautiful and relaxing space for those touched by breast cancer to get the vital physical, emotional and practical support and advice they need.

Spread over four floors, Future Dreams House will be a haven for thousands of people affected by breast cancer – providing a warm and friendly space that offers a relaxed, comfortable and non-clinical place to form friendships and find support from the breast cancer community.

To make the opening of Future Dreams House possible, ELC donated £500,000 over five years to support the work of breast cancer charity, Future Dreams, in refurbishing the central London site in Kings Cross into a destination where those experiencing breast cancer can go to for help and advice.

Sue Fox, President of The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland said: “We are so proud to be supporting Future Dreams as part of our continued work to drive positive change for the breast cancer community and beyond. The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign’s mission remains unwavering in uniting people to create a breast cancer-free world. It’s #TimeToEndBreastCancer.”

Visitors will be able to access practical breast cancer support services including bra and wig fitting advice, body image and confidence workshops, yoga and nutritional advice. All activities will be booked in advance and the majority of sessions will be streamed online so everyone can be involved, regardless of where they live.

Spencer Leslie, Future Dreams trustee and husband of founder Danielle Leslie who sadly died from breast cancer, said: “We are so grateful to the generosity and hard work of Future Dreams supporters, including Estée Lauder Companies, in helping turn our vision to create a welcoming space that everyone touched by breast cancer can go to for help and advice into a reality. We are thrilled that work on the building is finally complete and we can start welcoming people in to make the most of the services we can offer.”

To mark the opening of the site, Elizabeth Hurley and Sue Fox were photographed alongside Future Dreams trustee Spencer Leslie, his daughter Amy Leslie and Future Dreams ‘& Then Came Breast Cancer’ podcast host, Victoria Derbyshire. . They were also joined by TV doctor, GP and broadcaster Dr Zoe Williams and inspirational breast cancer survivors, Leanne Pero founder of Black Women Rising and Lauren Mahon founder of Girl vs. Cancer.

Elizabeth Hurley, longstanding Global Ambassador for The Breast Cancer Campaign, said: “I’m honoured to officially open Future Dreams House ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October. In the UK, The Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign is a great supporter of not only breast cancer support charity Future Dreams, but the creation of the Future Dreams House in King’s Cross. Future Dreams House will be a place where everyone can feel safe and included - providing a sense of community and support.”

Future Dreams was set up in 2008 when mother and grandmother, Sylvie Henry and her daughter Danielle Leslie, were both diagnosed with breast cancer. Sylvie and Danielle were concerned for the future of Danielle’s three-year-old daughter Amy, scared that she would suffer the same illness. Aware of the incredible support they received from friends and family they were also determined to stop anyone feeling like they were going through the illness on their own. Sat around a kitchen table they formed the charity with just £100 to its name. Since then, it has raised over £6.5 million for research, support and awareness.

Future Dreams House is located at 61 Birkenhead Street, London WC1H 8BB. For more information on Future Dreams and how to donate visit: www.futuredreams.org.uk/donate
