Sue Fox, President, U.K. & Ireland, To Retire From The Estée Lauder Companies

Press Release

We are announcing today that Sue Fox, President, U.K. & Ireland, has decided to retire from The Estée Lauder Companies, effective June 30, 2025.

Sue’s more than 30 years of experience with the company has included roles around the world, in affiliates and in our global headquarters. In 2006, she was promoted to Managing Director for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, where she was instrumental in expanding the company’s business across Africa, including opening new markets in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire. After 10 successful years in the role, she moved to London to take on a new opportunity leading Travel Retail, EMEA.

In 2016, Sue relocated to Japan as General Manager of the Japan affiliate, where she grew market share and profitability in one of Asia’s largest economies. In 2020, she returned to London to serve as SVP & General Manager for the UK & Ireland, assuming the President role six months later. During her time at the helm, she successfully navigated shifting retail dynamics, as well as the Covid pandemic, while delivering sustained growth across channels and brands.

As a global leader who is deeply attuned to regional trends and shifts in the prestige beauty landscape and consumer behaviour, Sue’s foresight and growth mindset have been essential aspects of her leadership.

Sue’s career has been marked by a series of historic firsts, including being the first woman to serve the company in all four of her most recent leadership roles. She has demonstrated her commitment to Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) within the region and globally. Sue introduced safe space conversations, multiple new Employee Resource Groups, accessible ways of working and she was a highly committed advocate for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

A dynamic and inclusive global leader, Sue’s team-building ability has been integral to the success of each of the regions and affiliates that she has overseen. In the UK and Ireland, she built and led a truly exceptional team of experts who have served the region with unmatched expertise and dedication.

A successor for the role has been identified and will be announced shortly. Sue will partner with this leader to ensure a smooth transition.
