Pernilla Nyberg Named Senior Vice President & General Manager, U.K. & Ireland

Press Release

We are announcing today that Pernilla Nyberg has been named Senior Vice President & General Manager, U.K. & Ireland, effective January 1, 2025. This announcement follows the news of Sue Fox’s upcoming retirement. Sue will work closely with Pernilla through the end of the calendar year to facilitate a smooth transition, and will be on hand to provide support through June 30, 2025, when she will formally retire from the Company.

Pernilla is a remarkable leader, with a diverse and impressive background in finance, strategy, marketing, and enterprise-wide transformation. She has wealth of cross-functional experience, deep understanding of our business and brands, a consistent record of achieving outstanding results, driving innovation and growth, and building strong teams and partnerships. She is also a passionate advocate for inclusion, diversity, and sustainability, and a strong role model for women in leadership.

Pernilla previously held a leadership role in the U.K. & Ireland region from 2012 to 2016, working closely with the Regional President as Vice President, Regional CFO and Strategy Leader. Her leadership in this role established her strong credentials in the region and makes her particularly well-qualified to assume this important new role.

Pernilla then relocated to New York from 2016 to 2020, and was promoted to SVP where she led Global Finance & Strategy for a portfolio of brands and significantly contributed to the cluster overachieving its business goals and sustainable profitable growth. She led Finance & Strategy for North America while driving the transformation of the region, and ensuring it delivered its growth and market share gain strategy. In November 2020, she returned to the U.K. in a dual global role as SVP Global Marketing Planning and Transformation Lead for integrated business planning, working across brands, regions, and functions.

Prior to joining ELC, Pernilla worked for 15 years at world-leading apparel and footwear brand, Nike. Her career there saw her work across several European markets (including Germany, the Netherlands and the U.K.), in various senior finance and strategy leadership roles. She began her career as a tax and accounting consultant in Germany, with roles most notably at accountancy firm, Ernst & Young.
