UK Citizenship & Sustainability
For The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland, we believe that citizenship and sustainability are essential to our success as a business and our responsibilities as a global company.
In 2017, we launched ELC Good Works in the UK & Ireland region, a programme through which the Company matches employee contributions of both volunteer time and monetary donations. Since the programme launched, our employees have registered over 6,000 volunteer hours.
Through our citizenship practices, we dedicate company-wide resources to address key issues around health, the environment and education through our partnerships with Future Dreams, Breast Cancer Now, Look Good Feel Better, National Literacy Trust, Young Women's Trust, The Prince's Trust, and Beauty Banks.
Throughout our UK facilities we are evolving waste management programmes to drive change in recycling practices and deliver significant waste reductions. In our Kite’s Croft Distribution Centre we have achieved a recycling rate of 93%, exceeding our 2020 global target.
In partnership with suppliers, retailers, consumers and employees, we continue to work toward caring for communities, conserving natural resources and creating innovative and sustainable products to create long-term value in the region.
